If you have walked by the Oak Conference room at the Servier US headquarters, you may have noticed a new piece of artwork. This piece was created by Yilin Zhu, the daughter of Servier Director of Biostatistics, Jian Zhu. Jian took a moment to reflect on the inspiration behind Yilin’s artwork:
“Last year, I had to explain to my 11-year-old daughter, Yilin, that I needed to miss her school performance because of work travel to ASCO, and that was the first time she learned about Vora.
She thought my job was really awesome after I told her what glioma patients and their families were going through, and how Vora was going to help. During the past two years as my WFH office mate, she has overheard quite some Vora regulatory submission team discussions. She also met many of the amazing team members when she came to the company Christmas party and visited during school break.
So, this year, as part of her Father’s Day tradition, she drew a Vora-themed phone screen wallpaper for me, and she thought it would also be cool to share with the Servier team. I was extremely proud because she is such a sweet kid and proud of what I do at work! This also made me realize our work not only helps the patients but also has a positive impact on our young family members.
Needless to say, I have been using this wallpaper for my phone. I was also very happy to see that the artwork brought joy to the Vora teams during the busy response-to-query period and is now on our office wall, attesting to our dedication to science and patients.”
Below, is a picture of Yilin with her artwork. Thank you, Yilin and Jian!
