Servier Announces Daniel Haines as U.S. Chief of Legal and Compliance

Servier Pharmaceuticals is pleased to share Daniel Haines has assumed the role of U.S. Chief of Legal and Compliance, expanding his responsibilities to oversee both Legal and Compliance functions as the organization continues to grow and evolve. 

Dan joined Servier in September 2024 as Head of U.S. Legal, bringing deep expertise and steady leadership to the organization. In his expanded role, Dan will continue to partner closely with teams across the business while providing strategic oversight to ensure Servier operates with integrity, transparency, and accountability as it advances innovative therapies for patients. 

Before joining Servier, Dan spent several years at Sanofi, most recently as Vice President and Head of Legal, Global Functions, leading a global team of more than 40 legal professionals supporting key strategic and operational functions. Earlier in his career, he served in legal leadership roles at Genzyme, worked in private practice, and served as a Law Clerk in the United States District Court of Massachusetts. 

Before entering the legal profession, Dan served as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army, earning the Bronze Star Medal for exceptionally meritorious service in Saudi Arabia and Iraq during Operation Desert Storm. His commitment to service and responsibility remains a defining aspect of his leadership philosophy. 

Dan holds a Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from Boston University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, cum laude, from Boston University. 

As Chief of Legal and Compliance, Dan’s expanded scope reflects both the trust he has earned within the organization and Servier’s continued focus on building strong governance and ethical foundations to support long-term success, for the business and the patients Servier serves.
