Science, Collaboration and Education – Servier’s R&D Day in Partnership with MassBio

This month, Servier partnered with MassBio to hold its second R&D Day, an event where Servier R&D and business development leaders delivered an overview of Servier’s pipeline, spoke to what we look for in partners and discussed what has led to collaborative successes with current partners. The team’s passion for advancing innovation in our industry and desire to make a difference for patients shone through to the more than 200 attendees, made up of oncology, neurology and pharmaceutical technology representatives from the Boston and Massachusetts life sciences ecosystem.

Those in attendance first heard from Frédéric Scaerou, Global Head of Business Development at Servier, who provided an overview of Servier, sharing the company’s history and global presence. He was followed by David K. Lee, Chief Executive Officer, Servier Pharmaceuticals, who dove into Servier’s presence in the U.S., the outstanding growth seen since laying down roots in 2018 and the forward trajectory for Servier in the country. Walid Kamoun, Executive Director, Global Head of R&D Oncology, Nitza Thomasson, Executive Director, Global Head of R&D Neurology and Christophe Thurieau, Senior Executive Director, Global Head of Research, followed David and shared our oncology strategy, neurology strategy and overall approach to research respectively. Frédéric Scaerou closed out the session by leading a panel discussion featuring three of our current partners and discussing the best approaches to business development.

Events like these, opportunities for our team to connect with leaders from other decisively science driven companies, help to push innovation forward. For those who joined us in person, thank you for attending! For those who would like to see the presentation and panels, please see the video included below.
