Director of U.S. Business Development and Licensing
Rekha Paleyanda is the Director of Servier BioInnovation and heads business development in the U.S., with a focus on in-licensing innovative therapies from early-stage through clinical proof of concept. Her goal is to forge strong partnerships with key stakeholders in the U.S. healthcare, biotech, disease foundation and academic communities in centers of excellence to access innovation that improve health in all therapeutic areas.
Previously, Rekha was the Director of the Office of Technology Commercialization at the University of Massachusetts and Senior Business Strategy & Licensing Manager in the Innovation Office of Partners HealthCare. Before that, she co-founded a biologics startup and worked in R&D on developing therapeutics for rare genetic diseases at Transkaryotic Therapies (now part of Takeda).
Rekha received her Doctor of Philosophy in Genetics from George Washington University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Holland Lab for Biomedical Sciences in Rockville, MD.
